Using a web browser to set up the DAP 1520 is simple.
First make sure the DAP 1520 is within range of the Wi-Fi signal from your main network by plugging it into an electrical outlet.
After turning it on, watch for the LED on the gadget to start flashing.
Next connect your computer or mobile device to the "dlink_ext" Wi-Fi network which is the DAP 1520's default network.
Open a web browser after connecting then enter dlinkap.local in the address box.
This will direct you to the DAP 1520's login page. You may also try 192.168.0.50 as the default IP address if dlinkap.local isn't working.
If you haven't updated the username and password in the past they are often "admin" for both fields.
Once you've logged in choose your home Wi-Fi network and enter the password by following the prompts.
This will enable DAP 1520 to increase the coverage of your current Wi-Fi network.
After the configuration is finished the device will reboot and when the extender is successfully connected to the network the LED will turn solid blue.
After setup you may position the extender to maximize coverage usually midway between your router and the poor signal region.
If the router includes a WPS button the DAP 1520 can also support WPS for faster setup.
You can quickly improve coverage in your house or workplace and increase the network's range by following these easy steps.
